Belize is another one of my favorite places to visit because it is easy and affordable to get around, and there is so much to discover. Also, it's nice to go back to a place, and reconnect with some of the same people from before -- It's like a home away from home!
The place featured in the banner is one of the Mayan ruin sites in Belize. This site is called Lamanai, and it is south of Orange Walk Town, Belize, in the northern part of the country.
Belize is a great destination because it offers a variety of fun activities and excursions, from water sports, to nature hikes, and because of its size, it’s all relatively easy to access. It’s also the only country in Central America where the official language is English, so native English speakers won’t have any issues interacting with the locals! In Belize you can head to the cayes in the Caribbean Sea, and take a snorkel excursion, or you can venture into the interior to see ancient Mayan ruins, caves, or a jaguar reserve. Better yet, you can do all of the above! |
Belize is a small country that is just south of Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula, with Guatemala on the western border, and the Caribbean Sea to the east. Zoom-in. Zoom-out. Take a look!
